I have a full size 45 and a Compact 45. The full size is softer shooting than most 45s I have ever shot. Great gun. It has less recoil than my FNS 9 and prob the same my Full size 320 in 9mm. I feel some 9mm cartridges today pack a lil more punch than some 45 target rounds. As for the compact 45. Its moderate. Not much of a jump from full size.
