When playing in an non dedicated serv, you can't go further than 180 meters away from the host. In ARK SE I remember that we could change the tethering distance, however, no matter how I change this option, i can't be further than 180 meters which is quite problematic. Is this supposed to be a bug that will be fixed or do I have to pay for a nitrado serv to get rid of such problems?Does anyone know how to fix the tether issue to have a greater distance than 160m I have tried moving the slider in the settings but doesn't seem to do anything. You can try making a dedicated server, you would just need a spare PC with about 10 GB of ram. Or you can join low populated servers

Open ARK. Click Host/Local. Scroll down in the left pane. Drag the slider for Non-Dedicated Host Tether Distance. You can also type in a number if you want to increase it above 3.0. Start your game. This is only something you need to do for a non-dedicated server.

Tether Distance. Did anyone notice that the tether distance option disappeared? Started a non-dedicated with my friends and soon figured out that the tether distance was low. I went into the settings looking for it and could not find it. It used to be located in the rules tab in game rules before but now it's gone. Tether on series x.
